We are looking for boat owners in the Caribbean to join the Climate Justice Flotilla that will depart from Guadeloupe or St Marteen in early April for Bonaire, Curaçao, Aruba and Santa Marta in Colombia where we will take part in the first international conference of the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty organized by the Colombian and Dutch governments from April 24 to 29.
We will cover your costs (including the cruising permit in Colombia and the marina fees in Santa Marta), and provide logistical and linguistic support (we have several Spanish speakers in the team, which will facilitate the administrative formalities, and will guarantee a warm welcome by the local population).
Santa Marta is a modern and safe marina, in the east of Colombia, and a good starting point either to Panama or to the north (Cuba or Dominican Republic, for example).
Please contact us is you are;
- a boat owner who are willing to offer a berth on your vessel to one or more climate activists, or just want to join the flotilla.
- an experienced skipper (Yachtmaster offshore, Capt 200 or equivalent) and you are available in April or May in the Caribbean
- able to help the Logistics Working group in preparing boats for the journey
